The Kyoto Protocol, which was adopted at the Third Conference of the parties (COP3) of "United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)" , encourages developed countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In order to deal with the problem of global warming, JAFTA attempts to conduct studies on the mechanism of absorption and storage of CO2 by forests and to develop technologies to design systems of third party certification on emission trading. | |
